We use EE3, upgraded to the latest version, with the Multiple Event Registration add-on. Our annual event is an all day conference, with a luncheon; here’s the link to the main registration page:

http://lifering.org/main-registration-page/

You’ll notice that there are 3 registration events on the page: the conference with no lunch, the conference with lunch, and lunch only, in that order. We’d like to have the display start with the registration panel for conference with lunch.

In our database, conference-without-lunch is ID 11, lunch-only is ID 12, and conference-with-lunch is 13. So registration options are displayed as 11, 13, 12. What would we have to do to display them in ID order 13, 11, 12?? The main registration page only has the required shortcode.

Hi, that order is determined by order that the events are created in. You may already have registrations for some of those events so instead of creating them over again, try creating a new WordPress page and add the single event shortcode for each event:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#single-events

Then publish the WordPress page and if needed add that page to your website’s navigation via WP-admin –> Appearance –> Menus.

Thanks for clarifying, and for the link to the single event codes. I assumed that the order of the numbers in the ID field represents the order of creation? I don’t see a field that shows creation time. If that’s so, I’m confused, because while the first event displayed is the first event created, the second event displayed is the last event created. Both these events begin on 5/29. The last event displayed is the second event created, which begins on 5/30. Does that sound right to you? Could the event date, rather than the item creation date, control the display?

Hi,

Yes the ID is in the order of creation. However, I believe they are being ordered in date/time order, not ID order.

While the events will have a creation timestamp it’s not used for event order. Event time IS used though, so if two events are both on 1st January, the plugin will try to order them via time if possible.

Also look at [EVENT_LIST] (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#event-list) as this has ordering options that may help.
