September 30, 2014 at 11:12 pm the event listing style is a little strange – the content excerpt is not under the heading and the in the single event view – the featured image doesn’t show. Can you please advise if there’s anything we can do from our end to fix this? We’re using child theme so can make changes to the functions and the stylesheet. |
Hi Sofia, Could you provide a link to an archives page on your site such as the main blog page? Event Espresso uses the theme archives layout for the event listing page so we would like to see if they are similar. Thanks — |

Yes here it is http://27.131.66.6/~playgrou/news/ – cheers |
Hi, The styling appears to be very similar so it is likely using an archives.php file. You can adjust the display for the description or an excerpt through WP-admin –> Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Templates –> Event Listing. Could you provide a copy of the theme as a zipped file to the email below? support [at] eventespresso.com — |

Hey thanks – i went to that page but had to upgrade to the ‘Cafenated version’. I have now done that but still can’t access this page. It’s all greyed out (see screenshot) |
Hi Sofia, You now have access to the Cafenated version of EE4 within your account page here: https://eventespresso.com/users/shortied/ Download EE4 from that page but clicking on it (http://take.ms/jJgvi), de-activate and delete the currently installed version of EE4 Decaf. Upload the latest version of EE4 you just downloaded using Dashboard -> Plugins -> Upload New. Then once you activate that version you will have access to all features. |

Hi guys – thanks but the event listing styling is still strange – I deleted the old plugin as described in this thread and installed the new version please advise as to what I have to do to get this looking right? Am using child theme so able to make changes cheers |
Hi Sofia, You can have more control over the markup of the event archive by setting up your own custom archive template in the child theme. I checked your site and it looks like it’s using the Genesis Framework, so I’ll give you a link to Genesis-framework specific instructions on how to do this. https://eventespresso.com/wiki/build-custom-espresso-event-post-templates-genesis/ |
