We are creating an event that is posted to a Music EVENT category and Worcectershire PAGE category. When creating an event, it does not populate the Worcestershire category, but goes to the default Uncategorised category.

We also get this error, when we submit – Warning: array_filter() expects parameter 1 to be array, string given in /home/eventmec/public_html/wp-includes/post.php on line 2743.

We can see the event in the Music category ok. Any thoughts how to fix ?

This is a new installation on EE 3.1.30.7P with WP 3.5.1. Our site is online but with a maintenance page so i will have to give you admin details if you want to have a look around.

Hi Mike,

We are aware of the category issue and I have entered a ticket for it.

When you say you are getting that error when you “submit”, are you creating a new event?

Hi Jonathan, yes….the error occurs when we try to add a new event (the event does create ok, but we dont know the implications of the error notice).

…also, just so you know that the featured image does not come across to the post page (it does with the event page). Can this be fixed ?

Hi Mike,

This is a new installation on EE 3.1.30.7P

Completely fresh server and not an upgrade from an older Event Espresso driven site?

featured image does not come across to the post page

I’ll add a feature request for this, but it is unlikely to be before 3.2 is released.

Hi Dean…yes, completely new installation on new server.

Thanks for the request; it’s kind of important that the feature image is set in the post.

Hey,

I would like to have a closer look at the error message, as it isn’t something I have seen on any of my test sites.

Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this?

If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

NOTE: login details need to be Admin level.

Done

Thanks for that Mike,

The error must be associated with the category issue that is occurring. On my local site I can replicate the issue but with one difference – on my local site the Post still gets made but on yours it doesnt.

We had a ticket outstanding on this from Jonathan earlier. Ive added a few notes to it, though there isnt much we can do until a dev looks at it.

ok Dean….just to clarify, the post DOES get made but it always goes to the ‘uncategorised’ category and not the correct/selected category.

Hope that helps.

Ok, good to know, for whatever reason my Test event didnt create one, perhaps I made a mistake. Either way, the ticket is with the devs now, so hopefully they can figure out the issue and rectify.

Hi,

I’m having the same issue with the post categories and was just wondering if this was ever resolved? I’m trying to setup a registration page with multiple events on it and am using the category post to pull them. Hoping I will be able to do this but currently everything is defaulting to “uncategorized.”

Thanks!

Hi Jessica.

The issue is still outstanding though there is a developer ticket raised to look into it.

We will resolve it as soon as we possibly can.
