Hi,

We have setup Event Espresso in our website. We have some questions related to how we can setup member-only events?
i.e. Events for particular members for example user1 have events E1, E2, E3…
user2 have events D1, D2, D3,…

And How we can create free tickets to give to people?
Somewhat like this:
The People plug in is definitely needed, as at the moment there is no way to add in people for “free” without the free ticket showing on the front end event page. We need this so we can add in: vips, staff, volunteers to our events.
If this is not the correct plug in for this, could you please help us in finding what is? We definitely need to add in complimentary tickets, and currently cannot find the correct way to do this.

Thank you,
Vince Nicita

For that you’ll need the EE4 User Integration Add-on. You can either set a capability on specific tickets (shown in the image above) or you can set the event to ‘Force login for registration’ within the event editor, shown HERE.

I’m assuming your members need to log into the site?

The People plug in is definitely needed, as at the moment there is no way to add in people for “free” without the free ticket showing on the front end event page. We need this so we can add in: vips, staff, volunteers to our events.

That’s not what the People Add-on is for, it basically allows you to assign ‘people’ to an event to be displayed on the event, for example a speaker within an event you could assign as a person, it does not assign them to the event with tickets.

If this is not the correct plug in for this, could you please help us in finding what is? We definitely need to add in complimentary tickets, and currently cannot find the correct way to do this.

You can add registrations from within the Admin and then set the registration to ‘Approved’ for them to apply to the event.

So Event Espresso -> Events -> {hover over event} -> Registrations.

Click the add new registration button at the top of the page and you’ll see a ticket selector for the event displayed within admin. Add the required details to add the registration and then change the ‘Registration Status’ to Approved.
