Hi,

I have asked for reset for activation of Event Espresso on one of my website and it’s been 3 days and still the status says reset pending.

Immediate help needed.

Hi AerieLane,

Can I ask what the problem you running into is please?

The license key will not effect how Event Espresso functions, the only difference when the license key is assigned is the automatic updates. So if you running into a problem and are currently using the latest version of EE it will be unrelated to the license key.

Now the support license key is activated but the vents are not auto populated on my website. Does it take time to show up?

Hi there,

You’re license key is currently pinging our servers from 3 different domains which is flagging the key.

demo.d*************s.com
aerielane.flywheelsites.com
a****e.com

The license key can only used on a single site at any one time so you will need to remove the key from the development sites so we can reset the key and assign it to a single domain.

Now the support license key is activated but the vents are not auto populated on my website. Does it take time to show up?

I’m not sure I understand, where are you expecting the events to populate to/from?

Please remove the license key from demo.draftforclients.com/aerielane site. It was our initial development site. You can remove the key from there.

You need to remove the key from the site or it will continue to ping our servers, we can not remove the key from this end.

To do that you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings.

Remove the license key from the field and save the settings.

Events are still not showing up on the workshop calendar page http://aerielane.flywheelsites.com/workshop-schedule/ even though they are on the event espresso.

Can you please activate it on this site. It is very important and urgent.

Hello,

The support license key is for support services so it handles access to software updates. It would not cause an event to appear or not appear on the calendar.

I looked at the site and I see that there is an event for next month.

Are there any events before December?

If so, could you check that they are published and active?

I have a new issue on the site. Stripe payment gateway is not working on the website.

There may be a conflict from either a theme script or another plugin. You can rule out a potential theme or plugin conflict by following these steps:
1) A theme conflict. You can rule this out by temporarily switching to the default WordPress theme, then test. The theme test drive plugin allows for testing another theme without actually changing your site’s theme.
2) A plugin conflict. You can rule this out by temporarily deactivating any other installed WordPress plugins. Then you reactivate them one by one, while testing the error condition between each reactivation.

Have you contacted flywheel and asked them to not cache the pages that handle Event Espresso’s registration and checkout pages?

HI Josh,

Thank you it worked. Stripe is working on the site now with Event Espresso.

I have another issue though. Once someone books an event, he is not receiving an email confirmation.

I have tested it using 4 different email accounts but have not received confirmation on any email.

Can you please let me know how to fix it at the earliest.

If you go to Event Espresso -> Messages you should see a message activity log, do you see the messages listed there?

If so what colour ‘status bar’ do the messages have?

I see it is in pink color that means it is failed. What settings do we need to do to send email correctly?

When I test email from here it works but not while buying event directly from website.

I am getting error sometime wp_email function not working correctly.

This may be a case where wp_cron is disabled on your server, in which case you can go to Event Espresso > Messages > Settings, and set the messages to send on the same request.

The other thing to double-check is make sure the From and To fields in the message templates have valid shortcodes that return an email address (e.g. the from should have something like [CO_EMAIL] and the to field for the registrant should have something like [RECIPIENT_EMAIL].

It’s still not working. I have 31 failed messages which are not approved registration. Can you please check it out what’s the issue.

Let em know which template should I choose? Site is live and we can not expect our users to not get registration emails.

Many of the templates have a ‘Registrant’ and/or ‘Primary Registrant’ context as well as an ‘Event Admin’ context. Each of those templates (and each individual context) needs to be edited manually so it depends which message you want to change.

I’m not sure I understand, why would the events show on the subdomain?

If EE is installed on http://www.aerielane.com and then http://www.safetyharbor.aerielane.com is more than just an alias of http://www.aerielane.com then it’s a separate site so won’t show the events?

Maybe I’m misunderstanding what you mean, can you provide some more information o what your expecting to happen?

For more clarification I am using multisite wordpress installation, so it should work on all the numbers of installation.

EE is already activated for network, so it should work on sub-domain too. I have added events separately on sub-domian but it don’t shows VIA calender.

Also I don’t see field like the main site to add api keys at subdomain installation.

Well apart of this you guys still not answered the query regarding email function in not working.

Event registration and notification to emails are not working.

So the reason your emails are not sending is the system questions ‘First Name’ and ‘Email’ have been removed from the ‘Personal Information’ question group and replaced with your own custom questions for those fields.

System questions are required for all registrations, the answer to the ‘Email’ system question is used to send the registrants email. As that question has been removed from the reg form then there is no value and so no email can be sent.

EE doesn’t allow you to remove those system question through the UI, have you removed them the group through the database?

Admirer was removed from WP.org (and therefor plugin search) a little while back and has yet to be re-instated.

You can use this like to download the plugin manually:

No.

Each site on your multisite install is a separate site, only the events created within each site will display on that site.

How about the settings, do I have to set everything on every site on my multisite install from the scratch?

I would have 3 more sites under my multisite, so Event Espresso will work fine on all of them?

Every site on a multisite install is a separate site, all of the settings, events, registrations, posts, pages are all separate for each site.

So yes you will need to set everything up on each site.

With the understanding that each single site is a separate site, yes.

However Event Espresso does not officially support WordPress Multisite, some users install it on MS (as do we) without any problems but its important to note the above.

The system questions have been fixed, however it looks like you are using an SMTP plugin that has not been setup, you will need to either setup that plugin correctly or disable it.

Thank you for fixing the system questions. May I know how you have fixed it. It needs to be fixed on safetyharbor.aerielane.com as well.

I created rows within the {prefix}_esp_question_group_question table which assigned the system questions (using the ID’s) to the Person info group (again using the ID)

How did you create the safetyharbor site? Was it a duplicate of the original site?

As your events don’t have datetimes assigned to them and the personal info group is broken it may mean there is a bigger problem. If it’s a clone of the original site then it could be the migration did not run correctly when you cloned the site.

Unfortunately our hosting doesn’t allow us to take a clone and run it under multisite. So everything is done manually.

Is there any option where we can expert all the vents from primary domain and again import it on subdomain or any better suggestion which you may have?

You could use a plugin to clone the site and import it into a sub-site.

For example you could try something like this plugin:

Also there is no issue with the System Questions on safetyharbor, I check whilst I still had access to the site. If you are not receiving emails have you setup the SMTP plugin?

As EE events are custom post types with additional data pulled from custom tables you can’t easily do that.

Please also fix this issue, now checkout page is not working.

If you update the checkout page using the default editor it should then work as expected.

I have purchased two more accounts of Event Espresso for my two subdomains, they are:

kelso.aerielane.com
lafayette.aerielane.com

SO I have purchased a total of 3 Event Espresso accounts to work on these 3 subdomains of my multisite:

lafayette.aerielane.com

How do I activate my license on these 3 subdomains, all are different license keys and there is no option to add license key in the subdomains, you can look at it. You have the login info with you.

Please look at it.

How do I activate my license on these 3 subdomains, all are different license keys and there is no option to add license key in the subdomains, you can look at it. You have the login info with you.

You can’t do that with Multisite and I’m not sure why you would want to as there is only one copy of the plugin files so the key only need to be active on a single site (the main site) to enable updates.

Can I ask why you want the license keys on each domain in that way?

Checkout page is fixed on safetyharbor but the thank you page is not working now.

It’s the fusion editor you are using.

Using the default editor on the thank you page, remove the shortcode completely.

Then navigate to Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Critical Pages.

Save the settings and the ‘Thank you’ section will show a shortcode problem.

Re-edit the Thank you page, add the shortcode (in the default editor) and update.

Again re-save the critical pages section, does the thank you page now work as expected?
