Hi there,

I installed the lite EE plugin and then bought the premium EE plugin.
I’ve tried to upload the plugin but I need to increase the file upload size. To circumnavigate this I just transferred the files via FTP. I still can’t see the Event Expresso premium plugin. I’ve since deactivated and deleted the free version and still can’t see the EE plugin.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Krystal,

How are you today?

When you uploaded the EE files via FTP, did you unzip the folder before uploading it to the plugins directory?

Hi Garth,

I’m good thanks, you?

Yep, I unzipped first.

Hi Krystal,

May I ask what the directory name is for Event Espresso Premium please? It should be event-espresso

When you download the zip file and open it up it should look like this: http://take.ms/eYoB2

You extract the event-espresso folder and transfer the whole folder to wp-content/plugins/

Like so: http://take.ms/B8Yxz

Apologies if this is familiar ground, just starting with the basics.

Hi Garth,

Thanks for coming back to me. I’ve now uploaded and the plugin is operational.

I’m struggling to set up multiple ticket types.

Can you point me to the correct documentation for setting up group bookings?
I’m organising a conference and I have individual registration prices and discounts for groups of 3 or more. I’m also trying to change the ticket choice from a drop down box tick a box so that the attendee can see all of the registration options. Could you point me in the right direction for this also?

Thanks again

Krystal

Sorry Tony, I called you Garth!

I’d like to display all of the ticket types like this:
http://www.3pillarsnetwork.com.au/events/forum-purpose/#registration_hook

Also my toggle for adding more attendees is not functioning – could you point to the documentation for this too?

Thanks in advance.

Krystal

Hi Krystal,

No Problem 🙂

I’m sorry for the delay getting back to you.

I’m struggling to set up multiple ticket types.
Can you point me to the correct documentation for setting up group bookings?

Group bookings are set within the event, if you edit an event then look in the Event options (sidebar) you should find something like this: http://take.ms/phI3N

The Attendee Limit is the overall limit for that event.
Switching ‘Allow Group Bookings’ to Yes enabled more than one ticket to be purchased.
Max Group Registrations is the qty limit for each registration. Say you only allow groups of 5 or less, this should be set to 5.

‘Additional Attendee Registration info’ basically states what info to collect for additional attendees, if this is set to ‘No info required’ the registration looks very similar to a single registration only the user selects a qty (http://take.ms/0qMVM) any of the other 2 options means Attendees are added individually and their information requested. (http://take.ms/85xmR)

This also depends on whether or not you are using the Multi Event Registration Add-on or not.

I’m organising a conference and I have individual registration prices and discounts for groups of 3 or more.

How are you looking to offer this? Using different ticket types or selecting a qty of 3 or more automatically includes a discount?

I’m also trying to change the ticket choice from a drop down box tick a box so that the attendee can see all of the registration options.

Currently this is not one of Event Espresso’s display options, the site you linked to likely modified the Price list gist we have available, altering the output for radio buttons. This wouldn’t be that hard to do depending on your PHP/HTML skills? The Price list gist is available here:

Thanks Tony,

Do you offer a service to configure the plugin?

Thanks

Krystal

Hi Krystal,

It would depend on what you require.

We offer a Basic Install & Configuration Service in which we install and setup Event Espresso + any Add-ons you require then run test registrations using a gateway of your choice (using our test credentials) to confirm all is working.

However this does not include customisations to the plugin as we currently do not offer customisations at this time.

May I ask what issues you currently have?

Hi Tony,

I’d like to offer 6 ticket types at any given time and if people choose 3 or more of the one ticket type, I’d like it to automatically apply a discount. I don’t believe I can do this while also collecting information about each delegate.

Also, I currently have the event set to accept group registrations however the “Add more attendees” button is not working.

After entering in registration details and pressing submit, a registration confirmation email is even before payment choice has been made – I only want an email sent once payment has been made (or registrant has chosen to pay by invoice). I can’t see where I can change this so that the email is sent after payment choice?

Is this something you can help with?

Thanks
Krystal

I’d like to offer 6 ticket types at any given time and if people choose 3 or more of the one ticket type, I’d like it to automatically apply a discount. I don’t believe I can do this while also collecting information about each delegate.

This is possible using the Volume Discount Add-on (available through the Pre-Release Channel) and Multi Event Registration Add-on and will also allow you to capture full registration information for each attendee. However, the Volume discount Add-on works on the total Amount of the cart or the Total Ticket Quantity selected. So if you only want to offer an automatic discount if multiples of a single ticket type are purchased this may not suit? The other option with EE3 is to use discount codes.

Also, I currently have the event set to accept group registrations however the “Add more attendees” button is not working.

This is usually due to a JavaScript error within the site, can you link me to one of the registration pages to view this please?

After entering in registration details and pressing submit, a registration confirmation email is even before payment choice has been made – I only want an email sent once payment has been made (or registrant has chosen to pay by invoice). I can’t see where I can change this so that the email is sent after payment choice?

If you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Email Settings. You’ll find the option ‘Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?’

Set that to No and then click Save Options, the Registration email will then not be sent until payment is made.

The Volume discount Add-on installs as a normal plugin and is fairly straight forward to setup, however if you prefer with the purchase of a Priority Support Token we could setup the Volume discount Add-on if the above will work for you use case and likely fix the ‘Add more attendees’ button depending on the cause (usually the theme JS code not using jQuery conflict mode) if you can link to the registration page I can advise further.
