This is for 382f8bc3c1f150b4472f867c88dc9499REQUEST RESET We’ve used event espresso for a while now and it says our license info is up to date. We have Multiple events through our WordPress site, and twice so far this year we’ve had issues with this plugin. Now it has deleted all current and past event details, registrations and transactions. We have an event tomorrow. Is this data recoverable. WordPress says EE has an automatic update, but the license is out expired, which is not true as we renewed in March. Please help ASAP. Damon@theartistygroup.com |
Hi Melvin, I’m sorry you’re having trouble with the plugin on your site. The data is recoverable if you or your host has taken recent backups of the site. Please note: Event Espresso does not delete data. Can you check with your website host to see if they’ve moved or migrated any of the database tables used by your website? With regards to the license key expiration, your account currently has the EE4 core plugin only. Any activated add-ons will show an expired license error, so those can be temporarily deactivated then you’ll be able to update the EE4 core plugin. |

Hey Josh, has there been any other occurrence of this with past customers ? |
I can’t answer your question with certainty, but there was this related support topic: https://eventespresso.com/topic/reset-data-does-this-delete-all-data/ |

I’ve backed the database up for every day for the last 30 days and the data is gone. Have you updated the plugin within the last 30 days? Are you also saying that I have to pay for the upgrade for the plugin to auto-update? |
Your backups are gone too? The plugin doesn’t actually hold the data, and we do not push updates to the plugin on your site. You’re still running an older version of Event Espresso 4 correct?
No, I did not write that. What I wrote was your current license allows for 1-click updates for the Event Espresso 4 core plugin only. Your current license doesn’t allow for 1-click updates of the add-ons. |

Thanks for the feedback – Ive found a backup from April 20th. How can I download all the registration information to a csv file. For example all of the registrants’ contact info? Thanks. |
The registrant’s contact info will be in the _esp_attendee_meta table. If you have the database loaded up in a tool like phpmyadmin it can do a CSV export of that table. Alternatively you can make a clone of your current site onto a development server and import the database backup from April 20th. Then you’ll have the full WordPress user interface to get the data from the Event Espresso > Registrations > Contact page. |
