Please tell me my data still exists somewhere. We had an open event registration and I was attempting to clean out a few deleted/cancelled registrations. But using the reset data option (NOT the Delete Data) I was shocked to see the entire data set wiped out. If this is not retrievable, your software has completely destroyed my event and we are dead in the water. Please help!

Hi there,
The reset Event Espresso tables button does delete data because it returns the tables to where they were when the plugin was first installed. Do you have any database backups that can be restored to? If not, you can contact your webhost and they can roll back your site to the last backup they made.

Wow – that is terrible news. It’s extremely misleading in that you have a separate option called “Delete” with a warning that your information will be permanently deleted. This should also have warnings and a chance to stop before destroying all data.

The separate option called “Delete” actually removes the tables that Event Espresso adds. The reset option empties everything within those tables. The dev team can add a warning to the reset option too. Fantastic idea, thank you.

To be clear – all I need to do is restore the MySQL database from a backup?
