Hello, we are currently using event espresso version 3 as we had made some changes to allow for recurring events and do not wish to lose those features. Unfortunately, when we try to enable recaptcha 3 for our website, it doesn’t seem to work with the event espresso forms and we’ve bee getting spam. Do you have any suggestions for how to make event espresso v3 work with recaptcha 3 without losing our changes?
The current version of EE3 supports reCAPTCHA version 2 (that’s the one with the “I am not a robot” checkbox)
You can update your site to the current version of EE3 to use reCAPTCHA version 2.
Since you’ve mentioned some changes, I can advise that if the changes were made directly to the Event Espresso 3 plugin, you have two paths to choose from:
1) Move the changes out of the plugin and into their own plugin using the provided hooks and template overrides (recommended)
2) Make a backup of the plugin files, update, then reapply the changes after doing the update
