When using the template “Athena Pro” from Smartcat Design, my single event listing is missing the event description (all other information from the template is still there – datetimes, staff, ticket selector, etc.).
I switched to the iced mocha template, and tested the twenty-eleven template and the template displayed as expected, with the event description.
I assume this can be corrected with a css edit in the Athena template, but I can’t couldn’t find sufficient documentation to discover what to change.
For now I have temporarily activated a working theme, but would like to return to Athena if I can get this working. The site is here: http://foreverhomes.org/retreat/rejuvenate-retreat/
Any ideas?
Using: ee4.8.43
php 5.54
wordpress 4.5.2
Athena Pro 1.03
I would be surprised if Athena was simply hiding the event content using CSS (although its possible) so I don’t this can be fixed using CSS.
Can you either activate Athena Pro on the site again so I can confirm this or send a copy of the theme to support[at]eventespresso.com so I can install it on a test site and see if I can see what happens.
Note the event description is basically the_content of the event post so it sounds like your theme is doing something strange with EE posts. This means we may not be able to provide a fix and you may need to contact the author for a fix, we’ll know more if we can take a look at the theme.
Interestingly, when I set up the theme test drive using Theme Check, the description showed as expected in the test version of the theme which had all theme options set to default.
I am sending an admin user to the support email above.
Got it figured out. Took the clues you gave and reinstalled the theme. Some file must have been corrupted/changed, because after the reinstall the theme displays fine.
Thanks
