Event Datetime has reached it's end date but still shows as available.

I am using EE4.
I have several Datetimes re-using the same 2 tickets.
The tickets are set to expire far in the future (2018).
How can I make passed Datetimes expire on their own instead of depending on the ticket to cause expiration.
