event cancellation

in EE3, how to cancel an instance of a recurring event? I expect the instance will not show in the calendar or in any widget.

if cancellation is not possible, how to close registration on an instance of a recurring event?

Hi Karen,

You could simply delete the event in question, that would remove it from public view.

Closing registration can be done by editing the event and setting “Display registration form?” to No.

Make sure the Recurring Event setting “Would you like to apply any of the changes that you have made to this event to: ” is set to Only this instance and then update the event.
