Every time I go to make an Event, once I’ve filled the title and description the add datetime doesn’t work and only refreshes the page. The calendar and time add on’s wont pop up either. I have the current version of espresso and have checked everything please help!!
Sounds like a plugin conflict, if you open up Chrome Dev Tools (or similar) on the event editor and look in the console section, can you see any errors?
Ok, so when I checked the above there are a bunch of errors from Fusion Builder which they’ll need to fix.
A quick explanation as to what is happening, the latest version of WordPress (5.5+) has a change that has caused issues for a lot of plugins. Event Espresso 4 itself hasn’t had any issues but if other plugins are loading JavaScript files on the event editor it shows up there.
So Fusion Builder is using functions that are no longer available in the latest version which then throw an error and that causes the above. They need to update their code to stop this from happening but there is a ‘fix’ available which is to install this plugin:
To confirm this was the issue I’ve already done this on your site and created a test event (which I’ve since deleted, it’s in trash).
You will notice that plugin adds a notice everywhere it is used to ‘fix’ a problem and the reason for that is it is not intended as a permanent fix but gets you up and running again and gives you time to open up a ticket with whatever plugin/theme is causing the issue and have them fix their code.
