Anyone getting this error when trying to add a new event? Thank you, |
Hi there, Which version of WordPress are you currently using? Which version of Event Espresso are you using? Do you have multiple start times and/or event prices within a new event when you try to create it (without adding them yourself)? |

WordPress Version: No multiple start times or event prices. Thank you |
To fix this you’ll need to update to the latest version of Event Espresso and also check within the database that there are no ‘broken’ rows. In September 2015, WordPress released a security update that would prevent details being saved to the database if the values were to long for the field. For example if you previously tried to push a title with 50 characters, but the limit within the database was 30, it used to cut off the 20 chars and save the 30. That no longer happens and the update now fails when that happens. This can then lead to ‘broken’ rows within the database using an event_id = 0, which the casues this error. So its likely you have rows within the database that failed the update and now have an ID of 0. We released EE3.1.37+ to work around this and prevent the rows from being inserted at all if the limit is reached. Do you have access to PHPmyAdmin or similar? |

Thank you very much for the information. This is above my pay scale…ha. However, I am looking for a designer/programmer well versed in Event Espresso to fix this problem and make some other changes. Can you recommend anyone? My site fidelitysafety.com Thank you. |
