That’s actually a problem caused by the Divi theme. What happens is Divi will register its post types late in the request after a theme update, which triggers a flush of the rewrite rules. Which ends up wiping out rewrite rules for other custom post types.
What you’ll need to do to fix is log into your site’s WordPress dashboard, then go to the Settings > Permalinks page. Simply visiting that page will refresh and restore the site’s permalinks.
Then the next time you update the Divi theme, you’ll do well to visit that same Settings > Permalinks page again.

So is this something I will have to coninuously do each time there is an update from Divi and/or Event Espresso?
Each time there’s an update for Divi. When Event Espresso is updated it makes sure the rewrite rules for its post types are set.
