Hello Event Espresso Team, How can this issue be avoided? Thank you! |
Hi Teresa, What payment options do you currently offer on your site? — |

Hi Lorenzo, Thanks! I am hoping we can find an easy solution to this issue. – Teresa |
Hi Teresa, Those are the card types but which payment processor are you using. For example, is this Authorizenet or PayPal Pro? Also, what is the version number that is shown for Event Espresso in your WordPress plugins page? — |

Ahh ok we use First Data. Looking at the plug in page I see the messages below. Is this what you are looking for? “Event Registration and Ticketing Powered by Event Espresso – 3.1.37.4.P Version 4.4.1” “The Atos gateway has been removed from Event Espresso core in 3.1.37. Please download and upload the Atos gateway to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways. Please see our documentation for more information. | Hide this message” |
Hi Teresa, You can dismiss the ATOS notice. It is a payment gateway that we removed as its library was quite large in size which was making the core plugin large in size. Could you then backup your WordPress (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-back-up-your-site/) and update to the latest version of Event Espresso 3? You can see changes since your version here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/change-log/ — |

Hi Lorenzo, How would a backup effect the event registration? Can people register when it is being backed up? I have never done a backup or update before is it simply a matter of following steps? Thanks, |
Hi Teresa, While it’s generally recommended to update, in this case I think it’s not going to solve the issue you’re seeing, because EE3 hasn’t had much in changes since the version you are currently using. That said, your data is likely important and really should be backed up on a regular basis. So for the error they’re seeing, have you checked with First Data and asked them why it’s saying “you do not have authorization to process this type of transaction on this server”? I suspect it may be something on their end that’s flagging your server. It may be that they’ll recommend that you switch to a First Data E4/Payeezy account if there’s an issue with using their LinkPoint API on your server, but I can only guess. If you contact them they may be able to review your account and give you the reason why the error is happening along with a recommendation on how to avoid the error. |
