I’m stumped why this is happening and I need help!

This is the pop up message displayed when attempting to register for an event on our website:

An error has occurred:
Your form data could not be applied to any valid registrations.
EE_SPCO_Reg_Step_Attendee_Information – process_reg_step – 598

Versions:
WP Version 4.2.2
Event Espresso – 4.6.30.p

Hi,

Does this happen on only a specific event/ticket?

I just tested a registration on your main event and could reach PayPal without a problem.

Which browser are you using?

Are you logged in or out of the site when testing a registration?

I’m using Firefox, and logged in. I will try logging out and using different browswers. It happens on all events I try to register for.

Ah, I logged out and tested the site and was able to register. I used to be able to test my site while being logged in. :/

I just tried again on a different computer, firefox, not logged in. I’m having the same original error message.

Hi,

Is it possible to get a link to an example event?

Are you using any caching systems (plugin? server level?) and/or have you minified or combined your JavaScript files on your site?

I don’t use a caching plugin, should I?

I’m still having issues, many of them from different customers. We are losing sales and this makes me sad.

Here are other errors we are receiving:
Your form data could not be applied to any valid registrations.
EE_SPCO_Reg_Step_Attendee_Information – process_reg_step – 607

Nothing in your Event Queue
You need to select at least one event before you can proceed with the registration process.

@dan I’m testing all the events on here: http://www.nativealien.com/events/ all are having issues.

Are you using any caching systems (plugin? server level?) and/or have you minified or combined your JavaScript files on your site?
Our server is not caching the site and we don’t use a plugin. No, I have not minified or combined files.

Thank you for your help! I’m lost over here!

We’re showing 65 incomplete registrations in our website, so this is still an issue…Losing money every day.

Getting an assortment of error messages.

The following errors have occurred:
First Name : HTML tags are not permitted in this field
EED_Single_Page_Checkout – _check_form_submission – 915
A valid transaction could not be initiated for processing your registrations.
EE_SPCO_Reg_Step_Attendee_Information – process_reg_step – 600

I tried a caching plugin but it didn’t help, so I uninstalled it.

Hi,

I just ran 2 test registrations on Contact 2015 Reservation and Contact 2015 Meal Plan.

I got to the payment pages/PayPal with no errors.

Caching is not necessary, but this type of issue you are describing is usually as a result of a caching plugin or server level caching being in force and Event Espresso pages not being excluded.

Can you check with your host to see if there is any server level caching in force? If there is, please look to add the following pages to the cache whit list:

/events/
/registration-checkout/
/transactions/
/thank-you/
/registration-cancelled/

More info on no cache: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/

Regarding the incomplete registrations, I assume the transactions are also incomplete? And no payments have been made via PayPal?

Our server said they aren’t caching anything.

The incomplete registrations don’t even have any information filled in. Blank info in fields that are required. So, no payments were made in paypal for those.

Hi, I have a question about some of the errors shared here:

https://eventespresso.com/topic/error-message-during-registration-process/#post-162875

One of them is related to using html in the first name field. An example would be adding a strong or an emphasis tag to that field which won’t work. However, I don’t think that you are actually trying to do that here.

Also, a caching plugin is not required to use Event Espresso. An incorrectly configured caching plugin could cause some strange issues similar to what you have shared but you mentioned that one is not in use.

With that mentioned, who is your hosting provider and what web browser did you see the first name error in?

Thanks

Lorenzo
