When someone registers, they get the following message, but the system works. How do I get rid of the error message? AttentionAn error occured, a valid event id is required for this shortcode to function properly. |

Hi there, It looks like you’ve added the |

Sorry. I’m not very savvy with these things. Where would I look for that shortcode? I have an event description page, and on that page, I put the link to the registration page that is created when I view it from Event Espresso. Is that my issue? Thanks for your help. |

Are you ok with me posting links to your site here or do you want to keep them private? |

I am totally fine with you posting links here. |

Ok, so this page: http://sycamorecanyontucson.com/event-registration/ If you are logged into the site when you view it will have an ‘Edit Page’ link in the admin bar, click that. Do you see |

Terrific! That worked! I have never seen or used the page you pointed me to in the previous message. How do I prevent this from happening in the future. Does the system create one of these pages for each event created in Events Espresso? If so, how do I access it in the future to check it was created correctly? |

I also have another issue with the registration on this event in that the “Add More Attendees” button is working on the registration page: http://sycamorecanyontucson.com/event-registration/?ee=16. I have chosen “yes” for allow group registrations. I have also chosen Full Registration Information in the box that says “Additional Attendee Registration Info” and checked off the appropriate “Event Questions for Additional Attendees.” I did just have my PHP updated, and everything worked before then. Hostgator, my web host, was able to adjust everything so that the Event Espresso registration page appeared as it should, so I thought everything was working properly until I attempted to register more than one attendee. Any ideas? All of my plugins are up to date. Thanks again! |

At some point, someone has manually added that shortcode to the page, EE doesn’t do that automatically.
No, event-registration is the default page EE creates and places just The
Unless someone manually changes that page it will not include any additional shortcodes but it will always be that same page so if you need to check just do the same as above.
I replied to your other thread about this here: https://eventespresso.com/topic/add-more-attendees-button-not-working-2/ In short, it’s an issue with your site’s theme, there’s JavaScript in the theme that needs to be removed/updated. |
