Suddenly after few weeks of use when I log in to my WP admin I get the following message on top “An error has potentially occured while attempting to update some of the information in your database. Please contact Event Espresso Customer Service so that they may look further into this matter and ensure that all data is correct ” and the admin has become very very slow, sometimes not showing my events or attendees.

Using WP version 3.6.1 and EE version 3.1.35.1.P
Need help on it ASAP.

Thanks

Josh

Hi Carlos,

You can deactivate Event Espresso, then reactivate it so the database update script will run. Also, there is a new version of Event Espresso available that you an update to.

Hi Josh

Thanks for your quick reply. Deactivating and Activating again will impact on any data already set on the system such as events or attendees?

Best

It’s not supposed to, but it’s always best to make a backup of your database before updating.

Hello Josh

I tried to deactivated and activate again and the problem remains. Is there anyway we can look at it before actually upgrading it?
Running a campaign tomorrow to promote one of the events, don’t think it’s a good idea to play with upgrades at this time.

Thanks

Hi Carlos,

Why wouldn’t it be good to update? Did you make any changes to Event Espresso core? If not it’s recommended to update.

Hi Josh.

I’ve updated new version of Event Espresso to newest version 3.1.35.2.P, re-activated it, but the admin panel still loading very slowly.
Do you have any clue to solve this issue ?

Thanks.

When you ran the update, did the update script finish running all the way or did it get interrupted?

Hi Josh.

I waited the update finish running, didn’t get interrupted. After that, I went back to plugin and see Event Espresso was update to newest version.

Thanks.

Hi Carlos,

Can you send a database dump to support at eventespresso.com so we can look into this further?

Hi there,

I checked the data and it looks fine to me. I also loaded up the db onto a test site and the admin is loading up as fast as expected.

Here are a few things that may help:

1) You can update to the current version of WordPress.

2) You can deactivate the Roles and Permissions add-on. There is no need to run this add-on when there is only one user account.

3) You might try increasing the amount of memory that is allocated for WordPress. Please see this guide for instructions on how to increase the memory available:

Hi Josh.

I tried your advise at item 3. Seem it works, admin page is loaded much more faster.
Thank for you help.
