Enable cookies error

We set up a test event to make sure registration was working properly and it’s not. We are getting a cookies error on all browsers. Cookies are enabled so we are not sure what the problem is. I thought it might be the reCAPTCHA and I turned that off and it’s still happening. Any ideas?

Message reads:
It appears your browser is not currently set to accept Cookies
In order to register for events, you need to enable cookies.

The first idea is to try ruling out any potential plugin conflicts by temporarily deactivating all other WordPress plugins.

If the above does not help, can you post a link to the event page so we can investigate?

One thing to keep in mind is if you are logged in as admin, the cookie error shouldn’t display, even on WPEngine with caching enabled. In any case, you’ll need to contact WPEngine and ask them to disable caching for the pages that handle the events, checkout, and payment page.

Hello, we are glad to hear that you got this working.

For other members that may experience this issue, please ask WP Engine to create no-cache/exclusion rules for your Event Espresso pages:

Also, the staging site does not have caching running whereas the live site does have it enabled.
