Hi there! We recently underwent a server migration. Since then (October 6) we have not received or sent out any of the registration confirmations and have not changed the settings. Any idea how to fix this? Thank you!

Hi,

Can you start by checking if general emails are being sent out? You can use a plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/check-email/ to do this.

If they are going out then you could try using a plugin such as WP Mail SMTP or a service such as Mandrill to help take over the default WordPress mail system (which is what EE uses).

Thanks Dean! That totally helped. There was a setting I had to change in cPanel and it worked. However a new thing has popped up.

An event on our calendar has randomly changed color from orange to the default blue, even though its category color is orange and none of the other events in the same category have changed from orange. Registration did close for it last night, so I thought maybe it would revert when I reopened it, but it didn’t.

To help us make a couple different calendars, this event does have two categories – one orange, and one without a color (marked by not used color pickers).

The event in question is here: https://waterworldswim.com/calendar/ on October 11, Golden Gate Bridge. Compare it with the event on January 3, 2015 – they should both be orange. Thanks for your help!

Hi,

Could you try going to those events and resaving them through the event editor?

Hi Lorenzo – I tried; that event is still blue 🙁

When I remove the non-colored category, it appears orange though. It’s just weird that that’s not happening to the other events bound by the same two categories.

Hi Lauren,

Can you try removing all categories from that event, saving, then adding the category back?

Hi Jonathan – No luck :/

Hi Lauren,

We have a fix for this that’s currently being tested and if all goes well, it will be included in the next release of the EE3 calendar add-on.

Hi Lauren,

Calendar 2.2.5.p (for Event Espresso 3) is available for download and includes a new feature where it sorts the categories by name before it sets the color. This allows for more consistency when it matches a color to an event based on the categories selected for an event.
