Email Verification to avoid ticket delivery issues

I am looking for a way to require email to be entered twice, as many people incorrectly type their email and therefore do not receive their tickets.

I have searched and found many threads requesting this feature, and am very eager to learn if it has been implemented.

My question is regarding the status of this feature. If it exists, I may just not be aware of it. Can you tell me the latest update, and if it is not available, what your current “best workaround” solution would be?

You can require the email address to be entered twice on the registration form by going to Event Espresso > Registration Form > Questions > Add new question. There you add a new question where its text can be something like “Confirm email”, then you set the Question Type to Email. Then you click Save and Close, then you add your new “Confirm email” question to the Personal information group by editing that group.

Update:

Double email field verification has been added in version 4.10.5.p. To activate this feature on your site, you can go to edit the Person Information question group in Event Espresso > Registration Form, then check the box next to “Confirm Email Address”. Then click Save.

Then, you can add additional verification by clicking on the Reg Form Settings tab, then set the Email Validation Level to be International + DNS Check.

Man I love Event Espresso! You guys are awesome. These forums have issues so well documented and you keep improving things. Really pleased so far. Thank you, will try this solution!

Completely unrelated but how do I get a custom picture? 🙂

Its linked to your WordPress.com account, and you can also set up additional emails.images within the account – http://take.ms/s7fwr

You’ll need to sign in with your WordPress.com username (if you don’t have one you’ll need to sign up) add the email address that you use for your account here and then add an image for that email.
