Hi, Also to note, we do receive contact forms from our site, so it does not seem to be SMTP mail settings through the web server. This is the website: http://lensdrivingschool.ca/ |
Hi there, Go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Message activity. Can you see the emails listed there? What colour ‘status bar’ do they have? (THe bar to the left of each message). |

red, see screenshot: https://share.getcloudapp.com/WnuldB17 |
That from address looks like 4 mail addresses combined into a single string, which is likely why it is failing. How have you set EE to send to multiple addresses? |
From a quick test on one of my test sites, it looks like you’ve set the ‘Primary Contact Email’ address in General Settings to 4 email address and I’m guessing separated them with a comma? Currently, EE doesn’t expect multiple addresses to be set in that field and will remove the comma. You’ll need to set that to a single admin address and either set the email address used as a group email and include the 4 recipients in that group or edit each individual message template and change the TO/FROM fields to include those addresses. |

I removed the 3 emails, and just set 1, see: https://share.getcloudapp.com/d5uPYwZG not nothing seems to show in messages: https://share.getcloudapp.com/WnuldBoG |
That message is waiting to generate. Click on the spanner in the actions column to generate. |
why will not not auto send the notification? |
I press the message, and select send, and still nothing happens |
The message system use WP_CRON to work through the steps, so if they are still sitting on queued for generation it could mean there’s an issue with WP_CRON on your site. Rather than selecting to SEND a non generated message, click the spanner to generate the message, does it generate showing the emails addresses and show with a blue status bar? |
I get this error: https://share.getcloudapp.com/6quxDGwZ This is the message it generates: https://share.getcloudapp.com/jkuYyWpx |
Ok, so clear/delete those message from the queue and trigger another, does that work? You may have a message trying to send in the batch that still has an incorrect to/from address breaking the request. If it still fails then clear the messages again and go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Settings Change the ‘Generate and send messages’ setting to ‘On Same Request’ and save. Now retrigger a message again, does that work or show the same error from here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/X6u02QG5 |
