Hi, Áine from Living Yoga here. I see Josh (EE) replied to a similar query in January 2018, however, I don’t really understand the answer he gave. I’m not aware of having changed anything that would cause our notifications to change format but notifications both to customers and to us are appearing as HTML instead of proper text. A number of customers have pointed this out to us and today, I received a Registration notification that looks like this…. • Registration Code: 166-88-1-e97b

If this just started happening without making any edits to the Message templates and without any new plugins added or updated to the site, then that may be a change to the web server. For example if the server was recently updated to a newer version of PHP it may also have a different version of PHPmailer now. If that’s the case, then what you could do is switch to an transactional email service. This will bypass PHPmailer and instead use the transactional email service’s email servers which are better optimized for sending properly formatted email notifications.
