Email Confirmations not being sent for attendees registering with Groupon

None of my customers who are registering on my website with Groupon vouchers are receiving email confirmations. But my customers paying through Paypal API are receiving email confirmations. My email settings are set correctly as follows:
Send payment confirmation emails? “YES”
Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received? “NO”
Use fancy email headers? “YES”

Please advise? (WP 4.1, EE Version 3.1.36.6.P, http://theinstantartist.com/event-registration/?ee=48)

Hi Melissa,

The social coupons apply a 100% discount to a registration so this would be similar to a free registration.

Are any email notifications received for free events (zero for the pricing)?

Yes email confirmations are being sent when I tested registering using a 100% off promo code. The problem appears just to be when someone registers using Groupon voucher.

Hi, I ran some testing with the current software for Event Espresso 3 and the social coupons add-on and could not duplicate this issue.

Could you check to see if its perhaps arriving in your SPAM folder?

I setup a test event on our test drive site:

Try registering using one of the codes below:

grouptest123
grouptest456

Let us know if anything is received.

Test site is not accepting my WP login

Hi,

This is our test drive site so it will not accept your own WordPress credentials from your own WP site.

That should take you to the test event that I created. Then try registering and using one of the social coupons below:

Do you then receive an email?

Test site will not let me register u less I’m logged in but it will not accept my WP login

I stand corrected….I just tried registering for one of my events with a 100% off promo code and still no email confirmation…so it is not sending when a registration is free. How do I fix this?

Hi Melissa,

Can you install this plugin:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/check-email/

If you then use that plugin to send a test email to your email account, does that work?

Emails work fine. I used CHeck Email plugin and received: “This test email proves that your WordPress installation at http://theinstantartist.com can send emails.” My customers who are paying with credit card receive email confirmations just fine…it’s just the registrations that are free that are not receiving emails.

Hi, could you setup a transactional email service on your site such as Mandrill or Postmark app? These are helpful for sporadic email issues:
