Email Attendees not Working

Hi there, I sent out an email to aall attendees for an event using the email icons on the events page. I get a confitmation message saying ‘Email Sent to 297 people successfully.38’ but only a few people actually got the email. I treid a few times but no luck. I called hostgator (my hosting company) and the confirmed that the emails are being sent but only a few people recived it. I had people check their spam folder but its not there either.

Please Advise ASAP as we have an event starting at 6pm EDT and need to sent out this email.

Hi Dovid, email deliverability can be challenging and here is some feedback on how emails work with Event Espresso.

Event Espresso itself does not send out any emails. It uses a native WordPress function called wp_mail which then uses the local email server.

If you’ve tried running searches on this issue then you may have seen at least one recommendation for using a transactional email service.

These services such as Mandrill or Postmark app take over sending the emails from the local email server and can resolve sporadic email issues on your site since they specialize in email deliverability.
