Hi. I have received a PayPal Instant Notification Warning email several times over the past two weeks for our event. I have read through nearly ALL of your IPN documentation, made appropriate changes-I had deleted the “transactions” page and had to recreate and provide the appropriate URL link in PayPal.

The PayPal payments are working and I am receiving confirmation emails properly. Wondering why I continue to receive these emails? When looking at the PayPal IPN History the status for recent transactions show as “retrying” and when I try to resend an IPN it fails.

The transactions page now shows “An error occurred. No ID or an invalid ID was supplied,” so I know it is working properly. Can you please advise as to why you think I am still not able to get the IPNs to work?

Many thanks,

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

Looking at your site I can see the transactions page at yourdomain.com/transactions/

So just to confirm with your PayPal account your IPN settings have yourdomain.com/transactions/ for the URL yes?

I can’t find your ‘Thank you’ page for Event Espresso has that been renamed?

IF you go to Event Espresso -> System Status.

Look under ‘Registration Pages’, are all the URL’s green?

Hi Tony,

Thank you for your response.

Yes, to confirm, the IPN settings in PayPal are http://www.swimwithjennifer.com/transactions/

Also, all of the URL’s are green in the System Status section. Here is what the Thank You page links to: http://www.swimwithjennifer.com/auto-return-url/

Any further thoughts? Thank you!

It looks like something is blocking PayPal from hitting the transactions page.

Are you running any security plugins such as ‘Bad Behaviour’?

It would also be a good idea to issue a ticket with your hosting company to check they are not blocking the IPN from PayPal (we this previously where the host woud block PayPal’s IP Addresses)
