Hi there,

I have replied to your other thread about this here:

https://eventespresso.com/topic/your-event-espresso-license-has-expired-message/

It looks like your account did not automatically update once you purchased EE so we have done this manually.

If you have further problems please let us know.

Thank you for the update. Our single event page is throwing an 500 internal server error.

Hi there,

Could you temporarily turn on WordPress debugging by adding the macro in the following link to your wp-config.php file?

https://gist.github.com/lorenzocaum/848801a1173be464fbe7#file-gistfile1-php

The wp-config.php file can be found in the WordPress root which is where the wp-admin, wp-content, and other files and folders for WordPress resides.

Then please try to trigger the error and you should see something on the screen. Could you copy and paste that here into a reply?

If you do not see an error on your screen, then please browse to this location using your SFTP or FTP client (e.g. FileZilla, Cyberduck):

/wp-content/debug.log

You should see an error recorded within the file. Please copy and paste that here in a reply.

Then go ahead and deactivate WordPress debugging by removing the macro that was recently added or setting it to false and saving changes:

I did what you have said but no file has been generated under /wp-content/.

Alright, go ahead and reverse the changes (i.e. remove the line in the wp-config.php) and save changes.

Could you check with your web host to see if there is a way to access the server error_logs?

If you can reach those, then please look if there are any entries related to Event Espresso and then copy just those and paste in a reply here.

Actually we are using Windows hosting. We are getting hard time to locate the erro logs. Could there be any relation with the error that we are getting? Does the plugin accept the default permalink structure?

Hello again, we do not support Windows-based hosting as we develop and test on Apache and Nginx servers.

However, Event Espresso should work with or without pretty permalinks. I’ve just tested that on two of our testing sites which are on different servers.

Can your webhost relocate you to a apache or nginx server?

If not, then the next best option would be seeing the error logs.
