We’ve seen this issue occur when it’s a server that’s using FCGI. Does your server use FCGI? Are you comfortable with making an edit to your .htacess file that will help allow the authentication headers to authenticate the app?
Hey Josh, we were able to resolve this issue without modifying FCGI. In the end it was an issue with an iThemes Security setting having Filter Long URL Strings enabled. We disabled the setting and are now able to log in.
I disabled the Filter Long URL Strings setting in iThemes but still no love. I’ll try editing the .htaccess file – I think I saw the instructions in another thread.
It might be worthwhile temporarily disabling iThemes Security and then trying it. That’s what confirmed for me that it was iThemes. I turned it back on and removed one setting at a time until I found the blocker.
Editing the .htaccess file as instructed solved the problem 🙂
