Hello,

I’m trying to integrate the Mailchimp plugin dedicated to EE4. I connected it to my Mailchimp account with the API and it seems connected but I have the two following problems:

1. First, the screen that I have when entering the API into my backend WordPress is not the same as the one described in the EE4 documentation. It seems to be a problem to me because I would like to be able to choose the same options that documentation shows.

Please see here what is described in the EE4 documentation: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4-hsazMWUExS0FQLVluSS1EYWM/view?usp=sharing

Please see here what I see in backend of my WordPress: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4-hsazMWUExNUw1QllNc19pTHM/view?usp=sharing

2. Then, as explained in the EE4 documentation I should see the following screen when creating or editing an event but it is not the case. I can’t see this droplist anywhere in the backend of an edited or newly created events.

Du you have an explanation to these 2 problems please and how to solve this? I would like to use this plugin to send automatically registrants’ names et emails to specific lists in Mailchimp.

Thank you for your answer,
Regards

Hi,

Your website has multiple MailChimp plugins available.

Please double-check that you are viewing the screen for Event Espresso in Event Espresso –> MailChimp.

Thanks

Hello Lorenzo,

Thanks a lot, I didn’t see that… feeling shame!

By the way maybe you can help me to setup this plugin: When i create an event on my website, I affect to an event category such as theater, clowns, writing, and so on. I created these categories via the “Category” tab of EE4. I could imagine that I create a Mailchimp list for each category so that each time a registrant register to an event in theater for example, he is automatically added to the “Theater” Mailchimp list I created.

My question is: If I want to automate this link between each category and each of my Mailchimp list, How can I do? I ask you this because on my website, organizer of an event can create its events himself, on his own. So when he creates it, I would like to link this particular event to the Mailchimp list corresponding to the category of this event in order to send automatically the data of all registrants of this event to the right Mailchimp list. Do you know how can I do please?

Thank you in advance

Hi, we have a setup guide for MailChimp here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/mailchimp-integration/#ee4installation

The list is selected on a per-event basis along with any groups. You’ll need to manually do that for each event as it defaults to not selecting an event.

Hi,
OK thank you for that, my point was to be able to automate this action depending on the category of the event. But it seems complicated to do as I understand.
Thanks

I would be possible to do but as you mentioned it would not be simply to do and is not something we can provide over the forums.

I think setting the correct option when creating the event is the best choice for this setting.
