You can check-in attendees from past event. You first have to see them in the list of results. So, uncheck the “Hide Expired Events” option to see the expired events:
Registrations > Event Check-in > Hide/Show Expired Events. Does that help? |

Did you click the “Filter” button too? After you filter to just that one event, there should be several actions to edit the records.
