EE4: How to Add a New Category

OK, maybe I’m missing something here, but EE3 used to have a “Add New Category” button in the Manage Event Categories section. EE4 no longer seems to have this section and in the Categories tab it doesn’t have any way to add a new category. I’ve looked and looked and the EE wiki says it should be under the Events Overview tab, but nothing exists there either. This is so extremely frustrating for such a simple thing.

Can someone please tell me how I can add a new category in EE4?!

Hi Michael,

It may be your user account on your WordPress site is missing some user capabilities. The user capabilities can be restored by going to Event Espresso > Maintenance > Reset, then you click on the Reset Event Espresso Capabilities button.
