Running latest EE4 and WP versions on HA platform with HA Proxy Load Balancer, 2 Apache servers, 2 Percona servers (master-master). Using standard EE4 message setup (wp-mail). Mail is sent via a separate SMTP host. Getting Reservation Approved email to Admin sent twice. Others may be sending twice (need more research). Found Forum discussion about changing messages to send immediately but there is no setting in my EE4. Also Using w3 Cache which may be causing problems (don’t know what to exclude from cache).

Just starting to research problem, but I’m guessing the message queues on each stack may be causing wp-mail cron to fire the same email to the SMTP Host in some instances.

Any feedback is much appreciated. THX.

Hi there,

Are these paid or free registrations?
If paid which payment method are you using?

Do both the emails match exactly?

The reason I ask is for a single registration the registration approved messages sends an email to the Event Admin, and the registrant. During testing if you are using the same email address for the Event Admin and the registrant you get both and may seem like it’s a duplicate.

By default the subject for the Event admin email is Event Registration Details, the subject for the registrant is Your Event Registration Detailshttp://take.ms/iWoAZ

Found Forum discussion about changing messages to send immediately but there is no setting in my EE4.

That setting should be within Event Espresso -> Messages -> Settings (tab)

It’s the global message settings section shown at the bottom here: http://take.ms/Kt092
