I recently renewed our EE3 Business License and have access to 26 premium plug-ins
I have one plug-in that I want to use that will not work on EE3, EE4 Events Table View Template, when looking at documentation it states Requires Event Espresso 4.3 or higher (it CANNOT be used on earlier versions). However I am unsure as to why this would be a part of the Business License package if you are unable to use it. I am sure I am missing something so any help is appreciated.

Hi Joanne,
The EE3 equivalent to the Table view template that you can use with EE3 is the Custom Template Add-on v1.1.p. EE3 license holders just happen to get access to EE4, but you’d actually need to use EE4 to be able to use an EE4 add-on.

Thanks for the quick replay – so then my next question would be why even put them as part of the package. A wee bit of deception don’t you think, if you say 26 add-ons then the person purchasing it should get 26 add-ons that they can use. Perhaps it because of the hope they will move to ee4 and then they already have these. Sure I can see that but still, I based my purchased on the fact that I could use the add-on that were listed.
I would of gone with ee4 except I tried it on another site for about 6 months and I feel like I had to relearn a lot and its just not as user friendly (I might even say down right frustrating). So for now I’m sticking with ee3 until I have a dedicated chunk time to understand the ins and out of ee4.

We don’t say 26 add-ons though, do we? I can assure you there is no intention to deceive. If you look at the sales page for EE3’s business license, it doesn’t advertise 26 add-ons.
The motivation behind giving away access to EE4 and its add-ons to those that have EE3 licenses is to help people make the migration to EE4 more smoothly, on their own time.
