Hello, I am having the same problem as in this topic: Should I implement the same fix as described in that thread? Or has there been a better solution found? If it’s the same, where do I find those files that need to be altered? This is the page I am having the pagination problem with: Another option for me is to avoid the pagination altogether by listing only one event. If that is possible, how am supposed to write the shortcode to post only that one event on the home page? thank you |
That topic is related to EE3 and you are using EE4. What is the exact shortcode that you are trying to use on the homepage? — |

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS title=”Featured Event” limit=”1″ id=”2559″] this is the shortcode i have, but obviously it doesn’t limit it to just the event ID that I want it to limit to. It shows “pages”. but the pages don’t work. |
This parameter is not available: id=”2559″ Try dropping that and it should show a single event. — |

no, it still shows the list of events in pages. How do I make it show only a specific event? or make the pages work. they really should be working. |
Event #2559 is the only one that is appearing. The pagination links can be removed with this CSS: .home .ee-pagination-dv {display:none} — |

yes, that did the trick. However the pagination remains broken. Based on the page with shortcodes instructions for event lists, it is obvious that if you want to display a list of events you can limit it to any number you want (like 1, or 5, or whatever). In which case pages appear. So the pagination is supposed to work, but doesn’t. I think you should bring this up with your development team, to make sure they fix this problem in the next update. thanks, |
Hi, We try to replicate issues on a default unmodified WP theme. If you can duplicate it there, then we’ll create a report for the development team to review. — |

i am confused, I have to duplicate the issue? how do i do that? I think this is clearly an issue, since I am not the first person who wrote about this. |
Hi, We need to verify bugs that are reported. Here is a simplified overview of what happens during a bug report: 1) We verify the issue on a default setup with WP 2) Include steps to reproduce the issue 3) Share feedback on the severity and a possible workaround The link that you provided is for a different platform of Event Espresso. It may appear to be the same but keep in mind that EE3 and EE4 are different software platforms (they do not share similar coding). So again, if you can duplicate the issue on a default WP theme, then I’ll create a report for the development to review. Hope this helps! — |
