Hi,

A new error I’m getting when arriving on my event’s registration page. This was not happening all weekend, but I believe it started this morning:

An error has occurred: You need to select a ticket quantity before you can proceed.
EED_Ticket_Selector – process_ticket_selections 408

After a few moments the message goes away, and it appears you can register like normal. However some people have reported to me this morning that registration isn’t working for them…I’m waiting on more details but I’m guessing it has something to do with this.

NOTE: Per a recent support ticket, I just had my host (WP Engine) exclude the registration pages from their caching. It looks like this issue only affects people who are not logged in to wordpress, as my previous issue was doing:

Hi Mike,

I checked the page you linked to and it all looks like it’s working now. It is necessary for WPEngine to deactivate caching for the registration page in order to allow non-logged in users to registration.

Hm yea looks like the error message is gone now…any idea as to why it was coming up, or if I should expect it to return?

Hi Mike, that message should now be fixed since no-cache rules are in place.

If it appears again, then try clearing the cache through the WP Engine menu in your WP dashboard.

You should be able to test out registrations by logging out of your WP dashboard or try a registration in an alternative web browser (e.g. if you are using Chrome, then try Safari or Firefox):
