One of the client sites we’re developing (redacted – LOC) using EE4 (4.4.4.p) and the Calendar add-on (3.1.0.p) is displaying the following message about an available update for the calendar add-on. “A new version of Event Espresso – Calendar is available. View What’s New with version 3.2.0.p. A valid Support License Key is needed to enable automatic upgrades. Your current account does not allow automatic upgrades on more than one domain. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.” Apparently the calendar add-on update does not recognize the we have a developers license and the support key is activated for the site. Why are we seeing this message and how can we resolve the problem? Thanks. |
Hi, Which support license key needs to be reset? You can let us know the first few letters of the domain or the first few letters of the support license key. Thanks — |

The domain is redacted – LOC |
Thanks. I’ve reset the support license key and remove the URL from your support post. Please also see: https://eventespresso.com/topic/having-trouble-updating-the-events-calendar-add-on-click-here/ — |

Lorenzo, The Support License Key on the site now shows a ‘red’ key rather than green. I tried removing the key, saving, and reentering the key but no change. On my EE account I see the key is active for the site, but it’s not reflected on the site settings. What do I need to do to correct? Also, the domain is mentioned in the original post for this topic, so please redact. Thanks for the help. |
Hi, We are experiencing some issues with the update system in 4.4.4: https://eventespresso.com/topic/having-trouble-updating-the-events-calendar-add-on-click-here/ — |

Lorenzo, I tried again to reset the support key for EE4 on the client site following the steps in the email sent recently without success. Is there a problem with that particular key or is it a larger issue? We need to resolve as we are turning the site over to the client in the next few days. Thanks. |

Hi Steve, As per the other post Lorenzo linked to, it is a wider issue that we have a fix for which is currently being tested. Once complete it will be pushed out with the next release which is hopefully quite soon. |
|
Thanks Dean. Please let me know when it’s ready so we can release the site to the client. |
Hi, This was fixed in 4.4.5: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/#4.4.5 Manually update to that version and you should not experience this issue in the future. — |
|
|
OK. Manual update = deactivate & delete existing EE4 plugin, upload newcore.zip file, and add new ee4 core plugin, correct? |
Hi Steve, Those are the steps look good. Please do backup WordPress before making changes. — |
|
|
OK, did that. But when I removed the support key, saved, reentered the support key, and saved, it still shows a ‘red’ key indicating it’s not valid/available. Does the key need to be reset, again? |
Alright, I’ve reset your support license key for the first site on your account. Go ahead and reactivate it as the new software is now running. — |

Thanks. That looks like it did the trick Lorenzo. |
