A few of my events are at a venue with reserved seating. I understand that EE4 does not have the seating chart plugin yet but how is everyone dealing with assigning reserved seating to their attendees? Keep in mind this event has two price points per seat. ADULT and CHILD.
Is there a way to add a custom field to the attendee record so that I could place the seat row and number in it after a success purchase? Also could I hold off on the automated email to them until this process has been completed? Once the process is completed on my end can the email then be sent with the Row and Seat detailed in the email for their records and so that they can bring it to the event with them.
If this is not the recommended way of doing things could someone recommend a better way? Thanks and the feedback from this forum has been great. Chris
Currently there is no way to hold off the emails sent to the attendee.
For the seat row field you could add an ‘Admin-Only Question’ to the question group for your event. This will no be displayed on the front end to the attendee, but if you view the registration you will be able to edit that question add the seat.
From the registration page you can also re-send the message currently associated for that attendee (Registration Approved for example)
That means can then use the [ANSWER_*] shortcode within the Registration Approved message to include the answer for your Admin Only question.
