Hi, I read somewhere before that if the default status is set the “Incomplete” then user registrations (WITHOUT a completed/successful payment) will not take up an attendee limit. Is this true? We’re seeing this is not the case though. Is there a setting I missed? Or is there a way to enable this? Thank you in advance. |
Hi, the registration will be recorded but it should not be using up the attendee limit when incomplete is set: http://cl.ly/image/38023D23191L Are you on a current version of Event Espresso 3? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/change-log/ Is there any custom coding in use on your site? — |

We’re on version 3.1.37.5. There is custom coding but nothing involving attendee limits. Any ideas what could be causing this to fail? |
Maybe it’s this code? https://gist.github.com/Apina/9596012 |

W3 total cache plugin? |
I removed all custom coding and disabled w3 total cache. Still the same thing. I see 3/3 for attendee limit and it’s showing as sold out. 1 attendee is marked as “Incomplete”. |
Wait… is it because of the “Ticket Reservation Time”? It’s set to 30 minutes. Does that mean it will be listed as sold out for only 30 minutes? So sorry for all the messages! P.S. Is there documentation on the entire workflow of this? i.e. how registrations and payments are processed? |
Hi, could you go ahead and update your site? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/change-log/ W3 total cache can be used but you’ll want to exclude your Event Espresso pages. Here are the default slugs for Event Espresso 3: /event-registration/ If your slugs are different, then please exclude those. With your recent test was that after custom coding was deactivated? An existing event would not be affected. Could you try creating a test event and registering? The ticket reservation time holds tickets for a certain period of time and can help prevent overselling. — |

Hi, We’re still having issues with slots being taken even though the attendees are showing a status of “incomplete”. The weird thing is that sometimes it works and other times it doesn’t. It seems extremely unreliable. Do you have any suggestions on what could be causing this to fail only sometimes? I tried manually changing the status and see if that breaks it. i.e. someone set to pending and then to incomplete again. I also tried waiting lists because this has a waiting list assigned I thought it might be breaking it. Please help! Thank you! |
I tested this multiple times now with different events and it seems to work fine. I can’t replicate the issue but we have an existing event with 3 “Incomplete” attendees and they are taking up slots! They registered days ago so it’s way past the 30 minute wait time we set. I have no idea what could be causing this… |
Hi there, If you edit one of the registrations that is pending but taking a place on the event, then look within the Ticket Prices – http://take.ms/Qb24Z Are there any details shown within that section other than total amount owing? |
Nope. Payment Status: Incomplete |
Hmm, can I take a look at the registration within the event? If so please send temporary login details using this form: |
