Hello,

I’m having an issue where on pages with the Recurring Events Dropdown Template loaded, the site’s main navigation menu will not display the drop down for child items.

I’m using Pagelines DMS and the NavBar navigation menu, and wordpress 3.9.1.

I’m not seeing any Javascript errors in Firefox’s console, and the only thing I’ve noticed is that both the nav menu and EE drop down share the “dropdown-menu” CSS class.

Did anyone have any suggestions on where to start looking? I have a feeling it is some sort of JQuery conflict, but I’m not 100% sure.

Thanks,
Eric

Hi Eric,

Thank you for your thorough question and testing.

Can you provide a link to the site in question? Ideally with the template active.

Hi Dean,

Unfortunately the site with EE on it is still internal, however the template/theme is the same as this: http://www.greatlakesosha.org

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks,
Eric

Hi Eric,

The theme is Pagelines and I believe we have had CSS conflicts with that theme before.

You can try disabling the active Event Espresso styles by going to Event Espresso > Template settings and set Use Themeroller Style Sheets to No.

Hi Dean,

It looks like turning that off has changed the “event” pages, but not the pages with the custom template. If we’re thinking it is a CSS conflict, do you know of a way for me to change the class to something different?

Thanks,
Eric

Hi Eric,

Yes, and the way you can do this is open up the entire Recurring Events Dropdown Template plugin in a code editor and do a find all & replace on dropdown-menu. The find all will look like this.

The find all and replace looks like this in Sublime Text 2. If you have another text editor, it will likely have a similar feature but it may look a bit different.

Thanks Josh, that did it!
