I have multiple prices for a single event and additional price add-ons. e.g. Price 1, Price 2, Price 3, Add Extra for 10$, Add Extra for $20 etc.

Is this possible?

Hi Chris,

Are you looking to allow multiple ticket types to be purchased at once?

Price 1 x ticket qty + Price 2 x ticket qty

Or a single price type per registration. Eg

Price 1 x total qty

If the latter it is possible using the Price Modifier Add-on available through the Pre-release channel. This Add-on gives a Question a ‘value’ which is added to to price. For Example you can have a checkbox question ‘Meal’ with a value of $10. If you check the checkbox, $10 is added to the price.

This currently does not work with the Multi Event Resgistration Add-on (meaning multiple ticket types within a ‘cart’).

Does that help?

The price-modifier sounds exactly what I’m looking for. Does pre-release mean it’s only meant to be used in a testing sandbox environment or is it safe to use on a live website?

Pre-release means it is in Beta, but considered fairly Stable.

There may be some issues we do not know about yet, but for the most part the Price Modifier Add-on should work fine.

We recommend testing locally first to make sure it suits your needs.

I just tested it and it seems to work fine and is exactly what I am looking for. Out of curiosity what kind of lack of stability risks are we talking here? (I completely understand you are not responsible for Beta versions) and when do you think this extension is good to go?

When we release the Add-ons into the Pre-release channel they are tested and appear to work correctly but could include small bugs that we didn’t think of…

For example, the Price Modifier Add-on does not support 0 values (which was uncovered from users trying it within the Pre-release). So if you have a Yes|10, No|-10, Maybe|0 question you’ll find it simply will not be displayed.

If it is available within Pre-release we believe it to be stable enough to be used, but bugs like the one above could render it useless for some users so we recommend testing any Pre-release Add-on locally to check if it suits your specific needs before pushing to production.

Currently I can not comment on expected deadlines for Pre-release Add-ons unfortunately.

Hope that helps 🙂

Yes that was helpful. Much appreciated!
