Hello – we are using Version 3.1.37.8.P. In the last week, email notifications of new registrations have stopped being sent. The attendee is still receiving their registration confirmation, but we are not receiving the email we normally receive when someone registers for an event. We have not changed anything on the site, however an automatic upgrade to WP v. 4.5.4 did happen on our site and I’m not sure if that is related to this issue.

Hi Joel,

We’ll be able to investigate this if you can re-send the redeem a support token form and include FTP credentials. In the meantime, have you checked your email accounts spam folder for those notifications?

Yes I have checked my spam folder.

Hi Joel,

I checked and the emails are sending. You could try deactivating the WP Mail SMTP plugin, it doesn’t seem to be configured to send email with SMTP anyway. Also, you might try changing the admin email address to another address to see if that helps with receiving the email.

One other tip that will help with your site that’s not related to email, but will reduce the number of errors being thrown on every page load: Instead of using the WP HTTPs plugin, you can use the Really Simple SSL plugin and secure the entire site.

Hi Josh, Thanks for checking. But I just went to this page:https://skillforge.com/courses/crystal-reports-xi-intermediate-training/ , added the 10/12 event date to my cart and then filled in the registration details using my personal email address and proceeded to the payment page. I received the registration confirmation at my personal email, but again received nothing notifying us of the registration at our info email alias. I’ve confirmed it is not going to spam. If you try these same steps you should be getting the same result I am. This is how our students register, and we are not getting any notice of the registration, other than a notice of their payment from our credit card processor. We have not changed the plugins on the site in some time, so I don’t know why any of them would suddenly be causing a conflict. And our email notifications have been coming to our info email alias since we started using EE which was several years ago.

Hi again Josh. I think we just figured it out. The info email address forwards to people in our organization that handle the registration. It wasn’t winding up in their spam folder. It was actually getting caught in the spam folder of the info email address. Which I wouldn’t even think is possible because it is basically saying email from your own email address is spam. But it looks like that somehow happened. We unmarked them as spam and everything looks good. Thanks again for your time and we’ll take a look at your other suggestions for the site. BTW – we have not upgraded to EE4 because it doesn’t have the recurring event manager – any idea if that will ever be implemented in EE4?

You’ll find some information about plans for recurring events for EE4 here:
