It should not make any difference although I would do Event Espresso updates first.
The only reason for this is EE3 now includes fixes for security patches made within WP. So if some reason you update WP, but then did not update EE3 you could end up with issues caused by using a version of EE3 that doesn’t include the updated fixes.
Basically longer event names, ticket names etc would cause a ‘blank’ update within the database because WordPress would strip out values. These rows then need to be manually removed.
