I’ve received some complaints from users who’ve had the following experience:
– They made a subscription for an event and payed.
– Everything is fine, they can see their subscription / payment
– A couple of days (in some cases weeks) later they make a new subscription for another event.
– Now something strange happens: they still see the event they recently registered for (which still needs to take place) in their shopping cart.
– Logically they delete the event from their cart, since they already registered and payed.
– They make the subscription for the new event and THINK everything is fine, but it’s not.
– What they don’t know is that with deleting the event from the cart, Event Espresso somehow actually deleted the whole subscription for the old event!
I’ve had at least 3 cases (out off about 20-30 people who registered for an extra event), so it doesn’t happen every time, but still is a big problem for our administration. I have to check all registrations manually if everything goes well and if not make a completely new registration for those cases.
Could you guys please help? I can send some login credentials so you can check the cases yourself.
I’ve asked my server admin, but he ensures me there is no caching on server level and I didn’t install any caching plugins what I’m aware of. It’s a pretty straightforward WordPress site with the core of Event Espresso and Multiple Event registration plugin.
May I ask are you able to reproduce the issue? This isn’t something we’ve seen happen unless there was some type of caching going on.
We can take a look at the admin/files of the site to see if anything potentially causing this jumps out, you can send the details via this secure form:
