Hi,

My registration approved email is not sending to all registrants.
I had a case today where the second registrant – using the same email address as the first isn’t getting the email. I went and clicked the ‘resend’ button then the second email went out.

Thanks

Hello,

If you are experiencing sporadic email issues, then we recommend using a transactional email service like SendGrid or Postmark App:

Hi there,

This is currently expected behavior and is to prevent users from receiving ‘duplicate’ emails. I have requested a filter is added to core to allow the same email address to be used, however that also means that if a user selects 4 tickets and you request details for only the primary registrant, that user will receive 4 with the same details.

If it is important that all users receive the registration I would recommend advising that users user their own individual email address for each registration.

Hi
Thanks @Tony – when will this filter be available? Because for now I have to manually resend and it’s really hard not to miss anyone.

Many of the people who buy tickets only have one email address or may not know their friend’s email.

Also, can we make it compulsory for the email address to be different for each participant?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Thanks

Fabie

Not currently.

It would be done with some jQuery but would need the help of a developer.

The changes have been reviewed and are currently in testing to make sure that firstly it doesn’t alter the default behaviour and also works as it as expected to (ie allows the messages to send to each registrant)

Once testing has been complete it will be included in the next version of EE.

One note here is that if the user users the same details for all registration EE will still not send the email to each registrant as the registrations are all assigned to the same contact. However if any of the other registrations details (First Name & Last Name) are different than the primary registrant the filter will work.

In order words if they use the exact same details for each registration this won’t work, if they use the others registrants name with their email address, it will.

Thanks Tony – that’s exactly what I need.
Is there an ETA re completion? (Are we talking weeks or months?)
Thanks again
