Whenever I click an event to edit, I get the error “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

Hi there,
That means a fatal error is being thrown on the server, the above error is the ‘front facing’, ‘pretty’ error. We’ll need the really error to troubleshoot this.
If you take a look in the servers error logs (your host will usually have a section for you to view them in your control panel) can you see any errors around the same time the above page is opened?
