Hi,

I’m new to Event Expresso and not only am I finding it exteremly challenging to customise but the documentation lacking and inaccurate.

I’m attempting to remove/edit the legend text on the confirmation sign-up form. A Google search revealed the following from the “Template Customization” section of the docs:

The way Event Espresso allows customization is via templates. By default these are found in plugins/event-espresso/templates.

On my server I do not have a templates folder in event-espresso!

I did find some templates in admin_pages but when I edit these no changes are seen on the front-end.

So how do I edit the registration form, I don’t understand how it can be so challenging to do something so simple.

Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

It sounds like you are using EE4 but reading EE3 documentation (EE4 was re-written from the ground up so structurally it’s different).

If you are just looking to change wording in general areas of the plugin you can use the language files: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-wording-with-poedit/

If you are looking to change the wording of Questions, you would need to edit the question directly in the Registration Form menu in the admin, just find the question hover over it and click edit.

If you wish to remove questions, you can delete them from the Registration Form menu or remove them from the appropriate Question Group.

Please note First Name, Last Name and Email cannot be deleted/removed as they are necessary for the plugin to function.
