Can you please tell me if you are planning to integrate E-Way for EE4. |
Hi there, Currently, we do not have plans to add an E-Way payment method to EE4 without sponsorship. We have an E-Way payment method ticket on our roadmap to track requests here: https://trello.com/c/EQeT0Ug5/19-payment-gateway-eway You are invited to add your vote and any additional comments to that thread. One option is to have a custom payment method created to integrate with EE and E-Way, you’ll need the help of a developer to do this but we have some documentation on adding payment methods here: https://eventespresso.com/2015/03/developers-guide-to-payment-methods-for-event-espresso-4-6/ |

You could also contact WPGateways for a quote. They’ve built 18 other gateways for Event Espresso 4. |

Thanks Josh, I have put my feedback up now. |
To try and clarify a little, we have to prioritize our development time on features and we try to prioritize that time on features requested the most by users (or sales inquiries) although granted it’s not always as clear-cut as that. Looking at the E-Way payment method card it has 2 votes with 7 threads linked in that card, so round that up to 10 and double it (just in case we missed any although we are pretty good at tracking requests) so let’s say it has 20 votes but that’s still not very many requests for a payment method. Now let’s look at the board and compare the top 10 requested features – http://take.ms/DGQns The lowest feature has 38 votes, even with doubling the E-Way requests that’s pretty much twice as many, Recurring events has over 100 which is the feature we are looking to add next although prep for WordPress 5 and Gutenburg currently takes priority. Earlier I mentioned it is not always as clear-cut as above, if you look at the planned features you’ll see add-ons such as “Add-on: Automated Payment Reminders” (8 votes) but that ties into “Add-on: Automated Messages” which will also become very useful with the Recurring Events Add-on, so the roadmap is a tool to help us prioritize based on direction we are heading with EE. Every feature (be it a payment method or otherwise) takes time to create, test, write documentation for, support staff to become familiar with and so on. It’s not that we don’t want to provide the solutions requested but in short, we have to prioritize and we’ll never please everyone all the time. I wasn’t a part of EE when E-Way was introduced to EE3 but I’m pretty sure it was added due to it being a sponsored feature, I’ll ask the team to confirm. |

Update: An eWAY gateway for Event Espresso 4 is now available as a free plugin. You can download it here: |
