We are using Event Espresso Version 3.1.36.5.P. New events are created by using the “Duplicate” button on a previous event. The problem is that the duplicated event does not show up in the event overview unless the filter is set to “ALL”. However, changing the filter creates an additional copy of the duplicated event (as explained here: https://eventespresso.com/topic/duplicate-event-creates-multiple-duplcates/).
Ideally, the user would be taken to the edit view of the duplicated event immediately after duplication instead of needing to find the duplicated event in the overview. Is there any way to do this?
If that is not possible, do you have any thoughts on how we can access the event without needing to use the filters in Event Overview?
I’ve just tested this and the duplicated event is available in the Event Overview screen. Try clicking on duplicate from the Event Editor and then clicking on Event Overview in the WP menu.
Yes, that does work. I think the problem I’m having is caused by the events being duplicated are from previous months and closed.
I’m experimenting with simply clicking the “Reset Filters” button before choosing a new filter. It seems to avoid the duplicate event issue. Maybe I’ll add a javascript to apply a click event to the reset filters button on page load. Thoughts?
Okay, I can explain that behavior. The default view shows ongoing & active events so if you duplicate an expired or closed event, then it won’t appear in the default view.
