Hello,

Are you able to duplicate this issue on the current version of Event Espresso 3?

Thanks Lorenzo,

I think the issue doesn’t lie with the version of EE, as it works fine for other clients that I’ve worked with, and this PDF button has never worked correctly for this client.

Is this a server issue? or something in the code that could be checked, as I’ve looked over the tickets and all seems to match up?

Thanks.

If you click on the print button does it appear normal in the print preview or is that also broken?

Also, have you also tried temporarily deactivating other plugins and re-testing to rule out a plugin conflict?

Hi Lorenzo,

The print preview is also broken, with the html there, but no style – http://screencast.com/t/HkU6ojPs4Dqb

Can you see what this might be caused by first, while I get approval to deactivate plugins?

Thanks.

Hi Ben,

Can you install the Espresso Requirements Check plugin available within this page:

https://eventespresso.com/requirements/

and see if any warnings are thrown please?

Hi Ben,

Can you provide a direct link? It’s often easier to troubleshoot if we can see something live.

If not, then I would recommend checking the url, is it https? In the console does it mention any errors, such as missing style files?

Thanks guys,

Here’s a direct link – http://www.fortedmontonpark.ca/?ticket_launch=true&id=97&r_id=21-536a84e0b6de6&html=true

Turning the requirements check on has produced this error at the top of the browser –
Warning: file_get_contents(): http:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in /var/www/vhosts/fortedmontonpark.ca/http_docs/wp-content/plugins/espresso-requirements/espresso_requirements_check.php on line 106 Warning: file_get_contents(http://www.fortedmontonpark.ca/wp-content/themes/fep/style.css): failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /var/www/vhosts/fortedmontonpark.ca/http_docs/wp-content/plugins/espresso-requirements/espresso_requirements_check.php on line 106

Hi Ben,

The server has allow_url_fopen disabled. This will need to be enabled for the PDF system we use to work.

It might be possible to manually edit the php.ini to enable it or you may need to speak to the host.

For example, HostGator allows it to be done manually http://support.hostgator.com/articles/specialized-help/technical/allow_url_fopen-how-to-enable

Thanks Dean,

I’ll see what the host says and provide an update.

Thanks.
